Nariño is a mountainous region with deep chasms; its cold temperatures make coffee grow more slowly and, as a result, lead to an exquisite mildness.
In this fascinating region, cold and heat come together to produce a unique coffee. Grown at an altitude of nearly 2,300 metres above sea level, Nariño coffee can thrive thanks to the area's high solar radiation, which creates a layer of heat during the day that protects the crops from extreme cold temperatures at night. Coffee notes: Smooth and citric notes with high acidity.

Coffee Growers
Most of Nariño's 34,000 coffee growers are direct descendants of the region's original inhabitants. As a result, their customs prevail unaltered. The community is known for its love and respect for the land and its strong work ethic. They own small lots of land that do not exceed an average of 2 hectares.
Location
Nariño is a region located in southeast Colombia. Its fascinating topography includes the proximity to the Equator, the Nudo de los Pastos, and three astonishing volcanoes (Galeras, Cumbal and Doña Juana) that nourish the soil with organic matter.
